{"id":112,"date":"2014-07-24T16:34:22","date_gmt":"2014-07-24T16:34:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mindbodyscienceworks.com\/?p=112"},"modified":"2014-10-18T13:28:29","modified_gmt":"2014-10-18T13:28:29","slug":"its-a-beautiful-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mindbodyscienceworks.com\/?p=112","title":{"rendered":"It&#8217;s a beautiful day!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wow! \u00a0Can&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s so nice out. \u00a0Usually this time of year, here in St. Louis we are hot and sweaty if we are outside. \u00a0Not today!! \u00a0Woo Hoo!<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to see the good outside of ourselves. \u00a0It&#8217;s harder to see and feel the good inside of ourselves. \u00a0Much like we do when we look out into a nice garden on a nice day and feel a cool gentle breeze when it comes. \u00a0Later we can use our imagination to bring it back when our surroundings aren&#8217;t so pleasant. \u00a0We can do the same with our good feelings about ourselves, things like self worth, being loved, being cared for, being confident and calm. \u00a0But first we must pay attention and cultivate our understanding of how those things really feel in our whole selves.<\/p>\n<p>When we are caught in a cycle of negative feelings in our minds, bodies, and emotions it&#8217;s hard to get out. \u00a0Negative sensations are so strong. \u00a0But the positive ones, the ones that are generally milder in intensity are the ones we can all use to make improvements. \u00a0We could benefit from amplifying them. \u00a0Rick Hanson PhD says, &#8220;<a title=\"be mindful of the good\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rickhanson.net\/mind-full-good\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Be Mind Full of Good<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">.&#8221;<\/span><\/a> \u00a0Help the good feelings get wired into your brain to effect all of you and all that is around you. Everyone can all do this if we slow down for a minute or so and allow something like a momentary feeling of calm and self confidence really come into our awareness of how it is sensed in our whole being; mind, emotion, and body. \u00a0But there are a whole host of positive feelings we can expand as we allow ourselves to become more deeply aware of them and how we sense them in our <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">whole<\/span> selves.<\/p>\n<p>So, take some time today to &#8220;Be Mindful of Good!&#8221; \u00a0I know you have some&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.listen for it&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. and amplify it. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wow! \u00a0Can&#8217;t believe it&#8217;s so nice out. \u00a0Usually this time of year, here in St. Louis we are hot and sweaty if we are outside. \u00a0Not today!! \u00a0Woo Hoo!
